there is nothing i can do to fix it
all you ever asked me for was time
all you ever asked me for was time
selena was officially freaking out. sure, she had told nick to call whenever he was free from songwriting, recording, or whatever else he was doing; but she didn’t think that he would call so soon. well, it wasn’t soon because it wasn’t the same day that she had extended the offer but it was soon enough that if freaked her out. she wasn’t sure how she would act, or how many stupid things she would say around him. weeks ago, selena wouldn’t have cared about saying anything stupid. he was her best friend, stupid things would get said eventually. and if you were best friends with selena, stupid things would be said frequently. that was how she was…and her friends ultimately accepted it.
judging from what she had heard, the two were definitely departing the ‘friends station.’ both pete and joe had told her the same thing. and if pete and joe were saying it, it had to be true. pete and joe never got along…they didn’t agree on anything. pete swore that joe had aids, and joe hated him because pete wouldn’t let him near taylor…but they had told her that nick felt something for her. that hadn’t surprised her. they both had to feel something for each other…they were best friends. something had to be there. selena was super oblivious; which is why she needed pete and joe to explain it to her. they didn’t have to explain in depth but they still had to explain. she had felt dumb for a few seconds but she got over it. now the only thing that she was worried about was screwing it up. that was the only reason she hadn’t said anything. joe and pete could be wrong. pete, who selena realized was almost never wrong, could have been wrong. he could have taken one of nick’s jokes seriously. or he could thought that he heard nick say something when he had said something else.
this was why she had decided not to say anything. because her intel could have been wrong. no, she would not say anything selena would just sit next to him and watch the screen. she glanced down at her outfit as she found a parking spot in the movie theater’s lot. she was surprised. it wasn’t every day that you found a spot this easy. maybe it was her lucky day. although, one lucky event didn’t necessarily make it someone’s lucky day. another glanced was awarded to her outfit. she hadn’t when that happened. when she was deciding on what to wear the outfit would look good and by the time she arrived at her destination she felt as if she needed to change again. what did you expect from a girly girl like selena? the outfit looked cute. an azalea shirt covered her upper body. it had probably been intended to be a dress but selena like it a lot better as a shirt. there were dark, black, jeans covering her legs. she realized how hot it was…but these jeans were just too cute with that shirt. and if she had chosen to wear shorts the dress/shirt would have looked like more of a dress. but the jeans had probably been a good move, movie theaters did get cold. there were simple gray flip-flops complete with silver glitter on her feet. comfortable yet cute, that was what selena was going for; and she was achieving it so far.
her accessories were silver, of course. what else would look simple next to an azalea top? there was a black purse handing off her arm for she was getting out of the car now. selena walked through the double doors. the last time she was here…she was here with two of her best girlfriends. now she was here, with her best guy friend in the whole world. the next time she walked through those doors, she would have to be with someone in her family. well, maybe not destiny. there were still kind of catty towards each other. selena looked straight forward at the box office. she wasn’t even sure that they were going to see. nick had just wanted to meet here to see a movie. selena held off on buying a ticket. she didn’t want to buy a ticket to a movie that she would want to see and, when nick arrived, realized that she had chosen a movie that nick would never, ever want to see. selena was proud of herself. she had been on time for once. in fact, selena nya leonard was early to meet nick for the first time in her life.
