I THINK I'M LOST IN THE LETTERS.
[/blockquote][/ul]
, but you can call me chris or drake. my birthday's october 24, 1990, so if you're too lazy to do the math, that means i'm seventeen years old right now. currently, i am a senior at newport high. you will find me hanging out with the artistic kids. i'm also a male, in case you couldn't tell. oh! and i'm also straight, and if you can live with that, i'm sure we'll be great friends."[/blockquote][/ul]

WHEN HER REPLY MEANT EVERYTHING. [/blockquote][/ul]
"You look really familiar! Have I seen you before?"
"I highly doubt it. People say I look a lot like Aubrey Graham but he's taller than me. And Sella says my eyes are a little darker than his. Whatever that means. It could be possible that I am a little lighter than him, but I'm not even gonna go there. I don't sit around comparing myself to the guy. I could be his long-lost twin."
"So, what do you like?"
"I like music, mostly because I write and record my own stuff. I feel like I shouldn't have to tell you that I absolutely adore girls. Life would suck without them. Word searches are fun; and, believe it or not, they unblock my mind when I have writer's block. I love to laugh, so comedies and comedians make the world go round. Dane Cook is my favorite comedian, and my favorite comedy is 'The Hangover'. The Tiger Song...classic! My favorite cars are BMWs. If I ever decide to get rid of the car that I have now, I'll probably buy a new beemer. No homo...I just wanted to say that in advance, because Jimmy Fallon is one of the funniest guys on late night. His thank you notes are awesome. I talk a lot which is why I write so much. I can never seem to get everything that's in my head on paper. Aside from writing, I love to read. My favorite book is Markus Zusak's 'The Book Thief'. I love to cook, i kind of have to cook for myself; so i love The Food Channel. My dog does too! And last--for now-- I like mixtapes. There is no better way to hear a ton of new songs than to buy a mixtape."
"And the things you could live without? What about them?"
"Try to aim for 10 or more dislikes, using commas instead of making a list."
"And what are the things you just can't stand?"
"."
"Do you have any bad habits? What about good ones?"
"A few of each. For the record, we're still in first person. (:"
"Oh, really? Well, how about the secrets?"
"At least one."
"And the fears?"
"Two or more."
"Do you have any special talents?"
"If any are secrets, make sure to specify somehow."
"And last but not least, what's your relationship status/history?"
"Are they single? Looking? How many serious relationships have they had? Do they tend to fool around? Are they a virgin?"
call me up to confess
THAT IT'S ME YOU THINK ABOUT.[/ul]"Where were you born?"
"Hometown, include some details (did you like it? was it too boring for you? do you still live there?)."
"And what's up with your family?"
"A few paragraphs about family, including parents, siblings, pets, etc."
"Now, tell me your story."
"History. A few paragraphs. This can be in first person or third."
I NEED YOU HERE WITH ME.[/ul]
"So, here's the deal. My name is
real name or nickname and
I've been role playing for how
many? years. Plus, I'm age
years young, and I found you guys
from where? oh, and the secret code is in the rules."
there was absolutely nothing else for him to do. there was nowhere pressing to be. or maybe he was just being lazy. either way, this place…the place where he was at this very moment in time was perfect. it was the only place in this whole city that he felt comfortable enough to write or sing aloud. well other than his own home, of course. but that wasn’t what colby was up to at the moment; and he hadn’t been writing for a while. his guitar was starting to collect dust. no, that was probably just all the dust from the stage. the auditorium hadn’t been used since orientation. at the same time, it looked like it hadn’t bee swept in almost three years. but this was the place that colby hill loved, he was comfortable here. he could write here. he could sing here. hell, if he had to, he could live in the auditorium. he would probably have to move some things around though.
whatever was throwing him off needed to be identified and disposed of. callie. a thought rushed to his head as colby reached for his guitar. his little sister, callie, had made her debut appearance in newport recently. that was definitely enough to throw him off. especially because callie had hated the idea of coming here. and she had been majorly pissed when he and ashley left. but not because she would miss them or anything; no, she was pissed due to the fact that her parents might make her tag along. she was pissed because she assumed ashley and colby didn’t give a damn about italy. that was pretty much a slap in the face. trieste, italy was all that colby had ever known. it was all that ashley had ever known. it was all that the whole family had ever known. seeing callie here pissed him off. sure, she was his little sister and he did love her. but…there were just some things that couldn’t be forgotten or forgiven. all he could do was try. “all i could do was try,” colby added to his thoughts, only now, speaking aloud. “that’s a great idea for a song.”
that would have been a great idea for a song if he hadn’t been stuck on the reason for his writer’s block. ash. he thought again. her moving out wouldn’t have caused writer’s block. that wasn’t even logical. then again, they did write a lot of stuff together. and they were pretty much in sync when it came to their feelings. “oh god, i’m glad she’s gone.” there was nothing worse than being in sync with your sister. there was nothing worse than being in sync with any girl. still, ashley was a pretty good songwriter…she never seemed to have writer’s block. calling her would have been the smart thing to do. if colby was serious about getting rid of his writer’s block, he would have probably driven to the recording studio that was almost twenty minutes away from the city. but he hadn’t tried any of those things. the only thing that was keeping colby from writing/playing was himself. maybe the music was holding him back, keeping him from having a life. he had been stuck in this large room most of the time last year…this year, he would have some sort of a life.
