About The Character,,
Canon or Original: Original and secretly wanted
Name: Carmen Maria Mendez
Nickname
Age and Year: Seventeen, junior
Sexuality: Bisexual
Play-by: Deanna Casaluce
Marital Status: Single
Location: Mendez Household
Clique: Loner/Outcast
Appearance: It's true, the outfit usually matches the personality. In Carmen's case, that would mean the excessive use of neutrals and unisex clothing. Sweatshirts, jeans, tank tops, and t-shirts. Plain t-shirts. Occasionally, she'll dress up her attire with large hoop earrings or a heeled boot, but never anything seriously over the top. She doesn't carry around an oversized purse or one at all, but you'll see her with a backpack slung over her shoulder the majority of the time.
Now the real aesthetics of Carmen Mendez. The girl has a natural tan which she inherited from her father and his Spanish ancestry. And her eyes; radiant brown eyes that almost glow, something else so got from her father. Carmie's hair at times will feel wiry, but she manages it. Normally, it'll have a soft bounce to it, if she doesn't straighten it, but Carmen takes the time most days to straighten her nearly-black strands. Though receiving several of her father's physical traits, Carmen got her mother's height. On a lucky day, when in the heeled boots, Carmen reaches 5'7", but normally stands anywhere between 5'4" and 5'5".
Personality: Carmen has always been a bit of a handful, even from a young age. Fighting with her mother over the clothes she was going to wear, which sometimes escalated to small wrestling matches between a four-year-old and her mother. And sadly, Carmen never won. Truthfully, Carmen could care little over what she wore as long as it felt comfortable. The girl has been dubbed with a very apathetic outlook, not feeling affected by many outside situations. This is not to be confused with optimism, seeing as Carmen can be very pessimistic. She normally just doesn't care. School, clothing, material possessions, Carmen doesn't care about.
A rare side of the only Mendez child is that she has a compassionate side. If you're lucky enough to get close to her, she'll be there for you, on any matter. Even the most trivial of matters, and sometimes even when she thinks you're wrong. Sure, apahy and compassion are opposites, but no one is entirely apathetic and completely compassionate. Plus, Carmen normally uses her apathy to avoid being the focus of people's attentions. Who wants to be around someone who just doesn't care?
