About The Character,,
Canon or Original: Original
Name: Ryder Strawn Garcia
Nickname
Age and Year: 16, Sophomore
Sexuality: Confused at the moment.
Play-by: William Beckett
Marital Status: Single
Location: Garcia Household
Clique: Drama dork
Appearance: Ryder is a lanky youth still growing into his body, having hit puberty a bit later than most. His hair is kept longer than most and is a bright natural red that he swears he will never dye. Well unless there is a part that hinges on it. He lives in costume and tries to have something on his person to reference at least one play at all times. Usually it's something so subtle that no one else would notice but he has gone as far as to wear a noose around his neck after seeing Jesus Christ Super Star for the first time.
Personality: Ryder is a happy go lucky kind of guy who hates to get wrapped up in issues outside of a script. He's a live and let live kind of guy, who hates confrontation. A true pacifist at heart, Ryder will still stick up for his friends or potential friends no matter what. Outside of the theater he tends to be a bit more subdued, opening up only to his close friends. He's the type to never bee seen without a smile on his face and tends to memorize lines in the classes he deems boring.
This being said, Ryder is very sensitive when it comes to his sexuality. Living with a famous male singer makes it impossible to talk to his uncle about these things - not to mention their personalities don't match at all. Whereas Ryder would rather close himself up in his room or sit in a coffee shop preparing for his next role, he finds himself bombarded by a stream of girls that are in and out of the house. Not to mention the groupies. Ryder has become more and more secluded inside of his own home, reducing his routine down to shutting himself away to do homework, scavenging for food in the fridge, trying to avoid his uncle and only going out when he needs to.

Family Members: Gustavo Garcia (Father, Deceased, 43) Ciara Strawn Garcia (Mother, deceased, 41), Dominic Garcia (Uncle, Guardian, 31)
History: Ryder grew up in a middle class family in the urban hub of Manhattan and relished in the city life. He loved taking the metro to school, dodging the oncoming cars as he and his friends raced across the streets, and listening to the beautiful sounds of Broadway. From the time that he saw his first play when he was five, Ryder strove to become an actor. He took part in every class play that he could get his hands on, and every drama class that was available.
After his father was transfered to New Port with his job Ryder was introduced to life as the new kid in New Port. He soon came to the realization that the safest place for him was away from the clicks and inside the depths of the school's theater. Unfortunately that didn't hide him from Tanner Grimley. The senior deftly swept Ryder off of his feet and left him breathless and confused. Ryder tried his hardest to avoid the man, but unfortunately Tanner has a tendency to pop up exactly where you don't want him.
Ryder's entire life was thrown upside down and soon came crashing down on him with the night of the crash. The cushion of the back row seats saved Ryder but his parents were not so lucky. Ryder was left suddenly with no parents and a concussion. At first he went into denial, refusing to leave his room after he was released from the hospital.
It took having one of his playbills being ripped to shreds by his uncle's dog to snap him out of it. Ryder has begun to reluctantly conform to his new life with his uncle, though the house feels more like a war zone with the difference in their personalities.
Role Playing Example:
Ryder was about to honestly have a heart attack. He had taken Laker out for lunch, thinking that it would be good for his handsome Latin heartthrob to get out of his tiny apartment. He had even planned to meet up with Anthony and surprise Laker and Ant by taking them to see a local show. It was nothing elaborate or anything but it was one of those artistic musical presentations that seemed to be right up their alley. It was a great opportunity to be able to be close to both of the breathtaking men. That was until the shots rang out.[/color]
Ryder whirled about looking for the source of the sound.
"¿Cuál era ése? Guapo I think we should-"
Ryder turned to look at Laker only to find that the human was gone. He felt his heart still in his chest.
"Guapo? Laker?"
His eyes darted around looking for the sandy blond hair in the midst of the crowd. There was a commotion coming from the bank and a good amount of people were running the opposite way. Somehow, he knew that Laker was in there. He could feel him. His powers had felt Laker's emotions before and now there was an imprint in his mind that was distinctly Laker. He moved towards the bank moving people out of the way, moving into a sprint. He could feel the fear and anxiety that Laker was feeling. Oh gods...what if he was hurt? He wouldn't forgive himself if Laker got hurt again, especially when he was with him, when he was protecting him and still helping him to get healthy after the run in where he had found his knight in the alleyway.
There was already a squadron of police cars that were surrounding the perimeter of the bank. Luckily, dashing back and forth across stage to participate in elaborate, albeit choreographed, fight scenes helped with jumping over the hoods of cars. Ryder vaulted himself over one such car, much to the surprise of the officers that stood beside the vehicle. He slipped under the yellow tape and ran towards the doors, the only thought running through his head was that of Laker and the feeling of Laker’s fear and anger towards the men that now held him captive. He totally missed the wires that shot out after him and promptly wrapped around his middle. Ryder gasped as he was lifted into the air, thrashing wildly as he was pulled back towards the barricade of cars.
”Let me go! I have to get to him!”
”Sir please calm down. You’ll only make the situation worse.”
Kyran frowned as he pulled the young mutant to him with the wires that were built into his gloves. Honestly so terribly rash…What would it accomplish having a young man charge into the building only to be shot in the head? Even if he had powers, what if he got in there and one of the robbers shot a hostage? He was bumped by one of the newer recruits that he still had yet to really become accustomed to. Drake Saga, while attractive was one of those people that didn’t have just his looks to blame for the double takes he got. Kyran gave him a small smile.
[color=apple”It’s alright Saga. We were all rookies once.”
He brought the would be rescuer to the ground and frowned at him.
”Officer you have to let me go. My…my friends are in there.”
Kyran shook his head quickly, keeping the wires tight around the young man.
”What part of hostage situation do you not understand? We have men that are going to attempt to retrieve the people inside. We cannot jeopardize that. Please just cooperate with us and everyone will have a better chance of getting out ali-“
There was a scream that cut through Kyran’s explanation that made him drop the wires from around the young mutant and swiftly pull his gun out to point at the bank. The special op division had moved in and there was suddenly a figure standing covered in blood. Kyran knew better than to think that it was his own blood. Talon was much too good for that. Good enough that he scared the Special Ops Leader a bit. Not that he tried to let that show. The remaining officers filed into the building and Ryder went with them, mainly because Kyran had been too distracted to remember to tie the boy up again.
Kyran moved to intercept the man that was responsible for the quick and clean handling of the situation.
”Commander Deathes. Nice work on that. Your efficiency is a godsend.”
Ryder sprinted through the doors and spotted the group of hostages. He let out a cry and raced to the pair huddled near the rest of the terrified people. He hugged them both tight, temporarily forgetting about Laker’s injuries. He kissed both of the men whispering breathlessly.
”Dios mio….by Apollo never do that again! I thought I was going to lose both of you…” [/blockquote]
