Family Members: May Sherwood (44), Jason Sherwood(46), Michael Sherwood (16) Monica Sherwood(16)
History: Born on the same day that her mother was supposed to be married to Jason Sherwood. May Sherwood, then being, May Martinez, Gave birth to Manning on August 8, 1988. She was however so happy to see her daughter's smile and gorgeous blue eyes. She never really understood though, where those eyes came from. Her eyes were a lovely shade of copper and her husband's eyes were a wonderful chocolate color. She figured that she had inherited them from her grandfather on her father's side, since he had bright blue eyes, and it ran in the family.
When Manning was about four she was blessed with the honor of being a big sister. Twins were brought into the house. Monica and Michael. They were gorgeous and looked just like the lovely Spanish mother. May seemed to favor the two more now that she saw she could have children that looked related to her. She would ignore Manning a lot and push her off to the side, even after the babies were old enough to take care of themselves. Manning was never wanted by her mother after the birth of her siblings. She didn't recent them though, if anything she loved the fact that their mother cared for them, because she became close with her father and grandfather. Finally when her mother seemed to just push the limit, Little Manning was about 16, and her sister and brother both were just about to turn 12, their mother flipped on Jason. He was trying to discipline Monica. She had broken something that was of great value to their father and he was angry. He yelled at the girl, who knew she deserved it, but went crying to their mother. She screamed for two straight hours at Jason. Finally he up and quit. Packing his bag, he looked sullen and really unwilling to leave because of his little angel, Manning. She was strong and determined to stay herself through the long and difficult divorce that her parents went through. Packing her bags at the age of 17 and leaving. She moved from small town in Pennsylvania, to the place where the sun always shines it seemed. Newport, California.
She finished her last year of school, her father sending her money every week so she was okay in that department. She graduated and went to school long enough to get certified in being a life guard and then she started her job in which she thrived to be excellent at. She succeeded and was not the highest rank there, which paid better than most jobs around Newport. Finally she had life that she could be recognized as herself and not be ignored. She was noticed and loved it.
This girl often sat on the chair for the life guard and noticed something she liked. A man, teaching children, teens, and adults all about surfing. She had taken a liking to watching his lessons closely. She had actually learned how to surf when she visited her father in Florida a year or so back. She was however, a little shy to talk to him. She just watched the techniques he taught those lucky enough to be taught by him. She was an outgoing person, but she was far too scared to talk to him.
