Back in 1970s there was a group of famous skaters who industrialized the sport that lived in Venice, California. They were called the Z-Boys because of who first started their team. The man's name was Skip Engblom and he owned the Zephyr Skate Shop in the lower part of Venice known as Dogtown. Three of the original dozen or so skaters were sought by men who wanted to sponsor them in tournaments and other events. They were paid a large amount of money and the three boys climbed their way to fame, ignoring the help from their greedy, constantly drunk and high team owner, except for one.
Stacey Peralta, Tony Alva, and Jay Adams were all the best of friends until the fame hit. Stacey was the only one to seem to somewhat keep his wits about him. Tony was completely consumed by greed, power, and fame. Now Jay was more concerned for his mother, and one of the boys who had always cared about, Sid. While the boys all climbed to the top this boy was diagnosed with brain cancer and was the only thing that seemed to bring the three boys back together before he later dies.

Now that you know the story of the Z-Boys, it's time for you to fill in the blanks.
How'd their rise to fame actually go?
Was it smooth for one or all?
Or bumpy for one or all?
What happened to their old teammates?
Did they still talk?
That's for you to decide.
Welcome to Dogtown, where skaters are Lords of the Street.
